What unique skills have you developed over time in your role and at this company?

"Throughout my time spent here at 2nd Time Around, my knowledge of luxury labels and high-end designers has grown exponentially. I have also enhanced my skills in customer service and sales. I have developed a comfort in communicating with customers and consignors, providing them with a pleasant and authentic experience that will make them think positively of the company. Lastly, my ability to multitask efficiently has greatly improved. There are times when this job requires the employees to juggle several tasks at once, i.e. processing consignments, working with the Instagram account, and most importantly still working with customers in the store and making sales. "

What excites you about your company?

"Something that excites me about 2nd Time Around is that I was fortunate enough to experience the rebranding process that we have undergone. I genuinely enjoy the direction the company has gone. I get excited to work with new products everyday and continuously learn about labels and designers I may have never heard of. I also feel there is more of an emphasis on providing customers with an authentic experience. Communicating is my strong suit and the fact that I get to utilize that skill everyday with customers and consignors makes me excited. "

What's the hardest challenge you've had thus far in your job?

"The hardest challenge I've had to face thus far in my job is having to do damage control when things go awry. Handling peoples personal belongings that at one point in time meant something to them or cost them a great deal of money means that we have to be hyper aware of how their items are being treated and handled in the store. Unfortunate circumstances have occurred that upset consignors, and at times building back their trust in the company can be quite a challenging task but one that is extremely important. "

Why do customers love 2nd Time Around?

"I feel customers love 2nd Time Around because we aren't an ordinary retail shop. Customers can come here knowing they are getting items that may not be easily found at an affordable price. I also think customers love 2nd Time Around because we strive to make people feel great about themselves and feel empowered. "

What do you love most about working at 2nd Time Around?

"What I love most about 2nd Time Around is that I can still be myself! That applies to how I dress as well as my personality. Sure, there may be a dress code but there is still enough room for me to dress in a way that makes me feel good and exude who I am. I also love that this company is about working with a team. There isn't competition among the staff to make sales or to out-do one another. It's about working together in order to represent the company in a positive way. "
